I'm not afraid it'll break anything, but rather if this should be fixed in
Ports. To me, it is the Cinnamon upstream should somehow arrange for starting
the agent.

How does this work on Linux? I guess, Cinnamon relies on systemd to start the
agent, and in this case your change is correct.
