Yes, that seems to have fixed it.

You cannot change the colour of the background to whatever colour you like, as
you previously could, but the game is playable.

Not sure why it went from version 3.38.3_3 all the way to version 47.2.

I do get a warning when I start the program: 
/usr/local/lib/libproxy.so.1: version LIBPROXY_0.4.16 required by
/usr/local/lib/gio/modules/libgiolibproxy.so not defined
Failed to load module: /usr/local/lib/gio/modules/libgiolibproxy.s

But it still seems to work.
