I am closing this META tracking bug because its purpose has been fulfilled. The
devel/libgnuregex replacement port was committed (r559542), and the dependent
port fixes (audio/tagtool, editors/xcoral, lang/scm, etc.) have been committed
as referenced in the comments. The libgnuregex transition from base to ports is
complete.
