I am closing this bug because it was caused by a version mismatch between
gnome-control-center 41.0 and gnome-settings-daemon 3.38.2. The GNOME stack in
ports is now at version 47+, and both components have been updated in lockstep.
The mismatch that triggered the core dump no longer exists.
