The port has been updated from version 3.28.2/3.38.2 to 47.0, spanning multiple major GNOME release cycles. GNOME Calendar was substantially rewritten (moved to GTK4/libadwaita) between versions 3.x and 47.0. The reporter (0mp@) last confirmed the issue in 2021 on version 3.38.2, but no patch was ever submitted.
