I am closing this bug as obsolete. The GSettings schema compilation issue was
reported against evince 41.3; the port is now at 48.1. A workaround was
identified (running `glib-compile-schemas` as root), and the underlying schema
registration has been addressed in subsequent port updates. No activity since
May 2022.
