It seems that 9.1 (bootonly) doesn't boot on SGI Altix 350, console output is:

    Device Path Acpi(PNP0A03,1)/Pci(1|0)/Ata(Primary,Master)
Consoles: EFI console

FreeBSD/ia64 EFI boot, Revision 3.1
