I just tested your patch, I had one paramether wrong in uart_bus_pci.c, so that is why it didn't work for me. Yours works perfectly.

I tried first to make the changes to uart_bus_pci.c, but it didn't help, I am not sure why. We are experiencing problems when trying to debug the kernel using the gdb backend through this serial port, our setup works (tested with minicom) but it seems like the device is not detected by the kernel as a debug console, no matter if we use the appropiate flags. I do not know if this could be related.

uart_bus_pci.c given that this is a single-port device.
