Yes, my patches were to make chan_capi work with asterisk from ports  
and with chan_capi, your right, the line I was talking about was the  
manufacturer line, commenting it out does the trick for us because we  
don't have EICON cards.
Best of luck with your ISDN line, I waited about 2 months for mine :)
Could you mail me your modified patches for 1.2.12.1?
My mods to chan_capi were to make it work with the patched codec  
negotiation. If you know more about those mod's i'd be interested, I  
just patched chan_capi until it worked with asterisk from ports,  
which was my aim.
