Hi,

I'm happy to finally announce that OpenJDK 25 for FreeBSD is now
available in the ports tree main branch:
https://cgit.freebsd.org/ports/commit/?id=dd93e1a47a370390e1730fcaab11fd83a0fc64ea

This has taken way too long to get there, but with the help of glewis
and bsdkurt, I feel it's now ready for testing.

The source repo is here:
https://github.com/freebsd/openjdk/tree/jdk25-freebsd

It is based on the upstream GA release for OpenJDK 25 (tagged jdk-25+36)
but with BSD related fixes on top.

File any issues found in the FreeBSD bugtracker:
https://bugs.freebsd.org/

And make sure to assign them to [email protected].

The upstream project website is here:
https://openjdk.org/projects/jdk/25/

Take care!
Harald
