What to buy?

After wading thru the laptop compatibility list
yesterday, I'm feeling less the wiser.

I need to buy a new low-end notebook computer with the
intention of using it mainly with FreeBSD - and
particularly with the Vodafone 3G card.

Choices revolve mainly around Acer, HP and Toshiba.

Does anyone have a recommendation on a best choice for
FreeBSD compatibility?
