As long as customers buy thos flimsy notebooks, the manufacturers will 
continue to offer them.

As already mentioned in aother answer, some manufacturer avoid this 
problem by providing higher rubber pads and/or a more stable LCD frame.

I never have had this problem with the machines I bought.
