Problem on installing FreeBSD 5.3 on a Toshiba Laptop

I´m trying to install FreeBSD 5.3 on a Toshiba Satellite A20-S207, but the installation freezes while trying to boot from the CD-ROM. I also tried disabling ACPI and Verbose mode.
