This is a VERY common problem on many, many laptops, but it's not the keys pressing against the screen that does the damage. It's the acidic oils left on the keys by your fingers. It's etching the screen over time. Most of the marks is the oil and this can be cleaned off with an alcohol wipe. But if the display is actually etched, it's permanent, so don't let that happen. Place a soft cloth of some sort over the keyboard before closing it. Wipe of any marks as quickly as possible.
