Intel (Agre) AC97 Modem

Has anyone heard anything about the status of support for the
Intel/Agre AC97 modem? It's not supported under ltmdm and, while it
seems some work was in progress on it a couple of months ago, I have
not seen anything on it since May.

Any hope on this one?
