Ok, I did this. Plus: USB devices now work: I've tested it with usb/com, usb 
cardreader and usb flash drive things. Minus: I still had to disable "device 
ehci" to avoid hanging on shutdown. Without ehci driver everything still 
works fine (at least two-hour experience says this). 

Here's my configuration, first with ehci driver:
