Here is what I found out from VMWare about this. I would still like to know if FreeBSD has a way of controlling this device?

Edit
 ~/.vmware/config or
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VMware\VMware Workstation\config.ini

Add line:
mks.noBeep = "TRUE"

This resolved the problem for within VMWare.

I have a Dell Latitude laptop. D620 that has an anoying habbit of
 firing off system beeps withing certain OS's under VMWare.
I found a way to supposedly shut off the internal speaker on VMware and
 it does not appear to be shutting it of on FreeBSD 7.
Is there a way to disable this device within FreeBSD that anyone is
 familiar with?

Thanks
Wheely
