I'm curious, what brand laptop is this on?

The fwip0 device is the IP-over-Firewire adapter.  I haven't found a use for 
that yet.

The correct driver is wpi, read the wpi(4) man page for details and the 
changes you have to make to /boot/loader.conf to get the device recognized:  

	man 4 wpi
