To respond to my own mail again:

* should the cardbus slot peripherals be detached and reattached upon
resume? Or should it be just suspend/resumed?
* here's what I see during suspend:

.. would someone with some ACPI clue please help me figure out how
broken the ACPI code in my T60 BIOS is? :)
