Brightness/volume controls for the Lenovo X230

Hi, Now that the pkg.freebsd.org stuff has updated drivers and I'm running with the new xorg/dri2 code, all the basic things that irked me with suspend/resume are now fixed. The other issues (softclock panics) are something I'll chase down myself. Now for the niggling bits. What was the end result with all the digging done for handling button presses for the x230?
