ACPI causes stutters in Maestro3 playback on Inspiron4000

Any ideas why my MP3's stutter constantly now unless I
disable the ACPI module in -CURRENT?

Looks like I have plenty of system resources available, so
it's not that... Maybe something with interrupts?
