OK.. found it...

Running dstumber causes the following message pretty much as soon
as I start the program up..

    wi0: timeout in wi_seek to 14b/3c; last status 403c

Now an ifconfig tells me

    status: no carrier

and no nodes can associate with the access port :-(

I think I'll revert back to the files in -stable.
