toshiba tecra 740cdt

has anyone successfuly configured the soundcard (CS4232) on this machine (toshiba tecra 740cdt)? i've tried numerous configurations with not much luck.

specs:
irq 5
drq 1
0x220

pnpinfo says that no pnp devices were found.

unfortunatly i've lost track of all the kernelconfigurations i have tried, so i'll get down to compiling a few kernels all over again in the morning if noone's successfuly configured the card (would do it now, but it's 04:40am and compiling a kernel takes a little over an hour). i know it sounds meaningless to post it without showing what i've tested so far, but i thought that i might "get lucky".
