I enabled apm in the kernel and turned on apmd and apm in rc.conf and
that was it. It suspends just fine and comes back up way faster than
Windows. I can send you my kernel configuration file and rc.conf when I
get home. But try to turn on apm in rc.conf as well as apmd

I also figured this one out. in rc.conf, the mouse is configured as
"auto", when in auto it doesn't do the tapping right. but if you specify
"PS/2", tapping should work. Again I don't remember what the name is
exactly, but I can send you my rc.conf when I get home. If you setup
your X to use systemmouse, it should work.

I never use it, so doesn't bother me. My Linksys wireless PCMCIA card
worked out of the box, which was amazing coz I tried Debian and it
wasn't supported without a lot of hacking.
