Re: USB hot-plug / standby-problems on IBM A31

usb works almost all the time for me on my T30. in rc.conf, I have

moused_enable="YES"
moused_port="/dev/psm0"
moused_flags="-3"

and in xfree conf

        Driver          "mouse"
        Option          "Protocol"      "auto"
        Option          "Device"        "/dev/sysmouse"
        Option          "ZAxisMapping"  "4 5

From time to time however, the phenomenon you described happens: after booting, the mouse is not detected and I have to unplug and replug it to make it work. This only happens in about one of 15 boots.

The not-resume-from-x has been discussed earlier on this list, it has to do with a bios bug from ibm. linux people have worked around this already. i am looking forward to try 5.0 to see what acpi can do for me.

other stuff i got to work: wireless, ethernet, usb digicam, pcmcia cardreader, apm resume without a crash when the dvd drive is inserted, opengl.

things that do not yet work (tho I have not tried hard until now): irda, bluetooth, internal modem and hibernate. the last one I heard is already working for some people, if so, can someone give me some instructions about this?
