So if this is a wi on pcmcia on cbb on minipci, it will still be removed (since we have no way of knowing that the wi card is on a mini-pci card that can't be removed). : Either way, it isn't and the device isn't being removed on a suspend. However, this makes it sound like wi on pci. In that case changes are very good that the wi driver is just broken for suspend/resume in this case (which matches what you've found).
