P.S.  Any chance you can give your neighbor something to turn off the
Linksys device for a bit, bring up your hostap, and then have him turn
it back on to see if it crashes.

Also, I'm sad to report that I wasn't paying attention at the start of
the thread.  Too many threads.  What version of FreeBSD?  4.7?
