Other wise "blank" won't do anything. Also, since you can mount the CDRs before you do burncd, is this a multisession CDR? If so, try with a plain, empty CDR - I've had problems with multisession ones before. Also, try burning at different speeds. As Brian suggested, try different CDR brands.
