Gateway Solo 2550: ACPI Thermal Problem

Hi,

Anybody out there running FreeBSD 5.0-RELEASE (or -current) on a Gateway
Solo 2550? On mine, the cooling fan is unreliable: most of the time it
won't spin at high temperatures.

I did some detailed analysis and a workaround patch here:-
