My advice to you: just do it. Nothing big to start with, it can develop as and 
when it's required.

- From my experience in the Open Source world, my experience has been not to ask  
people whether they think something is a good idea (usually you will get 
little response), but if you think it's a good idea just to start doing it 
and hope others will agree.

BTW yes, I think it's a good idea. You only have to look at how popular e.g. 
tuxmobil.org is, and how many people are on the lists for FreeBSD 
compatability with laptops.
