need advice on budget laptops

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody on this list could point me in the right
direction regarding a budget laptop purchase. The main models I am
looking into are

Dell Inspiron 1100
hp pavilion ze4281
IBM ThinkPad 2681-B4M

Any thoughts/experiences on the above models are welcome.
