ibm minipci wlan firmware

Hi

Some time ago, I read on this list that after a firmware upgrade of
the IBM wireless lan MiniPCI card things didn't work as smoothly as
before.

I am now in the process of updating and reinstalling my T30 and
noticed a firmware for that card from Feb.25 2003 (v1.04.09.02).

Is it safe to update the firmware or did anyone run into problems?
