(This is the sort of thing that frightens new users unnecessarily. It should be replaced with ``Press Y in the next three seconds if you want to configure the kernel.'')" Not a bad idea at all. Perhaps a little more time though, say 5 seconds? Maybe some coder shoud look into this.
