Creating a new pccard.conf entry

What's the best way to debug the format of a pccard.conf entry? I just
picked up a CompactFlash GPS card with a PCMCIA adapter, and I'd like to
see if I can get it working. Inserting it reports a type as "CF-CARD"
"GENERIC".
