Lock the sceen in console mode

what do I need to be able to lock the screen on my Toshiba 
running 4.3 (still).  I only use it in console mode.

I have the little devil thing bouncing around after a delay of
(some_amount) of inactivity, but see no provisions for having it setup
so that a relogin of somekind is required once the devil srtarts his
slow dance.
