Thanks for the response. I added the line as recommended, and rebuilt the
kernel, but the same thing happened. Would "dmesg" outputs prove helpful to
you?

Try adding:

DRIVER_MODULE(pcic, acpi, pcic_driver, pcic_devclass, 0, 0);

to sys/pccard/pcic_isa.c
