you just need a working dsdt (dsdt is generic linux/bsd/whatever doesn't 
matter, it's essentially modified bios code)

put it in /boot
then edit /boot/loader.conf and add the following two lines
acpi_dsdt_load="YES"
acpi_dsdt_name="/boot/acpi_dsdt.aml"
