Unable to install 5.2.1-RELEASE on HP Omnibook 800CT

I just borrowed a floppy and cable and attempted to install
FreeBSD on a HP OB800CT but no luck.  The same error.
HD not found.

Is there a directive to specify the IDE controller is on the
ISA bus and not on the PCI bus?
