And everybody else solved that problem in a much more logical way, using 
only a single Type II slot and putting the full RJ45 connector on the 
outside of the port.  Linksys, NetGear, SMC, D-Link all have integrated 
PCCard and CardBus NICs.  The nice thing about these is that you can 
use them in laptops that only have a single Type II slot, or you can 
put another Type II card underneath if you have two slots.

Unfortunately, you can't use one of these integrated cards and a 
wireless card, unless you can find a wireless NIC that puts the antenna 
bump on the bottom of the card.
