X doesn't run at boot

I installed 5.2.1 on my Dell laptop. It runs great. I've configured X, 
and that runs great. But it doesn't come up in X (xdm?) mode at boot 
time. Is there a port I need to install so that it will? Or a entry I 
need in my rc.conf, or what?
