I'd tend to lean towards trying FBSD5 just because I'd assume it'd be less likely that I'd find something in FBSD4 that I wanted (feature-wise) that wasn't in FBSD5 than vice-versa. Besides, what's a test machine for if not to install the bleeding edge of a new OS that I'm not all that familiar with ;-?
