I try to install FreeBSD 5.2 on a HP pavilion zx5000
series, model =
zx5020EA. I tried all boot selections from the menu
with the ascii devil =
but it immedietely stucks and the laptop turns off.

I have the same exact problem on a zv5000z.
I am found a similar woe expressed in the AMD-64 list.

Here are the computer details:
HP Pavilion zv5000z
AMD Athlon XP-m 3000+ 1.60 GHz
512MB SDRAM (one card)
60 GB HD
4x dvd+/cd-rw drive
15.4" WXGA screen (1280x800)
64MB NVidia GeForce 4 440 Go

That's about it.
