Thank you for the info on the T42p. Unfortunately, due to my
limited budget, I think I will take an R51. Hence, I try
again: can anyone tell me how the R51 works with
FreeBSD (LAN, modem, X, ACPI)?

runtime cpu setting does not work on centrinos so far, it just stays
the speed the notebook had while booting.
