FreeBSD 4.10 on IBM T20 - poor resolution

I'm running FreeBSD 4.10 on a IMB T20 but the result
is a bad resolutions. Has anyone experience similar a
similar issue? When I had FreeBSD 3.4 running
everything
seemed fine.
