hi all..

ok... this ath thing wont be anymore. if i see one more hal status 3 i'll
probably pass out. i bought this card a year ago to use it with this
machine. then waited for a year to get the ath driver ported to bsd. but i
can't stand this cutting off anymore. on weekends i can only work on a
wireless lan that my friend upstairs lets me use.
but i'm losing to much time in resetting, rebooting and waiting for this
card to reset itself to be actually able to do my work. and i lose a lot
of work when working remotely whenever this card decides to reset itself
or just dies all the time with the hal status 3 crap..
apparently this isn't going to be solved any time soon.
so please, please recommend the best choice for an a/b/g card that will
work smoothly on a thinkpad running 5.2.1. it doesn't have to be
'special'. just a working one.
i did read the list of chips supported in the handbook but i need some
real experience recommendations because according to that information my
card is supported too but in my experience it's not really...
i'd sincerely appreciate any information of which are the cards that will
work with minimum or no hassle at all.

thank you
