-CURRENT and NEWCARD

I hate to complain, because my latest CVSUP (yesterday) is the only
version of ANY unix EVER to cope with the weird BIOS on my armada E500,
to the extent that I can actually run X on it now..

But is anybody else having trouble with -CURRENT and NEWCARD? more
specifically, errors of the type:

device_probe_and_attach: xxxx attach returned 6

where xxxx is any given PCMCIA card driver

I've googled on this, found a lot of problem reports but very few
solutions; adding hw.pci.allow_unsupported_io_range=1 to loader.conf
didn't work.

Anybody have any ideas?

dmesg follows.
