Dear FreeBSD multimedia development team, I'd like to submit to your attention the following bug: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=295933 affecting the usb audio chain with a specific USB DAC, the renowned Okto Research DAC 8 stereo, but potentially involving similar devices with the same chip implementation. I could make the device work just "hiding" the capture stream, yet the issue would require an appropriate, expert-led intervention. While investigating this issue, I learned of the passing of the much-respected and highly regarded contributor Hans Petter Selasky. I would therefore like to ask whether there is currently a designated maintainer for the USB audio stack and what the prospects are for maintaining and developing the USB audio subsystem (and virtual_oss) both now and in the future. With kindest regards. -- Giacomo S. http://www.giacomos.it Sincrotrone Trieste S.C.p.A. di interesse nazionale Strada Statale 14 - km 163,5 in AREA Science Park 34149 Basovizza, Trieste ITALY - 040 3758073 328 3237959
