 I am a software engineer but not a kernel developer and I am trying to do the
best I can. I could as well have ignored the idsue and go on using what I have
been so far, but I really want to contribute the best I can. 
what I've done so far has already taken quite a lot of time, because this is
not the only issue in the stack.
I'll soon write a summary of, and a report after further testing.
if the patch works, regession testing and definitive integration will be on
your side.
