Agree with zlei 645c45e297c0 is probably the issue and should be reverted for
15.0.  We get conflicting reports, the patch solves one problem but creates a
regression.  Since the problem with the patch is probably worse I will revert
it since I don't think I'll have time soon to dig into this and try to please
both cases.
