With the family address debug print patch applied I see in dmesg:

wg1: Sending handshake initiation to peer 1
wg1: wg_send: Unknown family: 0
wg1: Unable to send packet: 47

I do not see the wg_input debug output.
The family address in the sosend() path is 0.
